Cookie Policy — Cookie-Richtlinie — Zásady používania cookies
Effective date: 7 April 2026 | Website: www.comeworks.eu
| This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on our website www.comeworks.eu, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. This Policy is available in English, German (AT/DE) and Slovak. Scroll down for the German and Slovak versions. |
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device — computer, tablet or smartphone — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to improve their efficiency and to provide information to website operators.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot carry viruses or malware. They are simply data files that allow a website to recognise your device during the same visit (session cookies) or across multiple visits (persistent cookies).
Similar technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies such as:
- Local storage — a mechanism for storing data in your browser, similar to cookies but with greater capacity
- Session storage — data stored only for the duration of a browser session
- Pixel tags / web beacons — tiny invisible images that can tell us whether you have opened an email or visited a specific page (used only with your consent)
For simplicity, all of these technologies are referred to collectively as ‘cookies’ throughout this Policy.
2. WHO SETS COOKIES ON THIS WEBSITE?
Cookies on our website are set by two types of parties:
| Type | Description | Examples |
| First-party cookies | Set directly by COME WORKS s.r.o. — the operator of this website. These cookies are used to ensure the website functions correctly and to remember your preferences. | Session ID, language preference, cookie consent status |
| Third-party cookies | Set by external service providers whose services we have integrated into our website (e.g. Google Analytics). These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. | Google Analytics (_ga, _gid), Google Tag Manager |
We do not permit third-party advertising networks to set cookies on our website for the purpose of delivering targeted advertising unless you have explicitly consented to marketing cookies.
3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE
We classify the cookies on our website into four categories. The legal basis for each category and whether your consent is required are described below.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
| Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — no consent required These cookies cannot be disabled without preventing the website from functioning correctly. |
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for you to navigate the website and use its basic features. They do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing or to remember where you have been on the internet.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
| PHPSESSID | www.comeworks.eu | Maintains your session whilst you navigate between pages. Deleted when you close your browser. | Session |
| XSRF-TOKEN | www.comeworks.eu | Security cookie — protects contact forms and other interactive elements against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. | Session |
| lang_pref | www.comeworks.eu | Stores your selected language (EN / DE / SK) so you do not have to choose it on every visit. | 12 months |
| cookie_consent | www.comeworks.eu | Records whether you have accepted, rejected or customised your cookie preferences, so the banner is not shown on every visit. | 12 months |
3.2 Functional Cookies
| Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — your prior consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time via our Cookie Settings. |
Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices you have made and to provide enhanced, personalised features. Without these cookies certain preferences will not be saved between visits.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
| region_pref | www.comeworks.eu | Remembers your region / country selection (e.g. Slovakia, Austria, Germany) to display relevant contact information. | 6 months |
| ui_theme | www.comeworks.eu | Saves your display preference if a light/dark mode toggle is available. | 12 months |
3.3 Analytics Cookies
| Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — your prior consent is required. If you do not consent, none of the cookies listed below will be placed on your device. |
Analytics cookies collect information about how visitors use our website — which pages they visit most, how long they spend on each page and where they come from. This helps us understand how the website is used and to improve its structure and content. All data collected by analytics cookies is aggregated and anonymised; it cannot be used to identify you personally.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
| _ga | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | The main Google Analytics cookie. Assigns a unique anonymous identifier to each visitor and tracks sessions across the website. Used to distinguish individual users. | 24 months |
| _ga_XXXXXXXX | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Used by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to persist session state. | 24 months |
| _gid | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Stores and updates a unique value for each page visited. Used to count and track pageviews. | 24 hours |
| _gat_gtag_UA | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Used to throttle request rates to Google Analytics — limits data collection at times of high traffic. Does not store personal information. | 1 minute |
| Important: IP anonymisation is ENABLED on our Google Analytics installation. Your IP address is truncated by Google before any data is stored — your full IP address is never recorded by Google on our behalf. Data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Transfers to Google LLC (USA) are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy Analytics opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout |
3.4 Marketing and Retargeting Cookies
| Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — your prior consent is required. We do not currently use marketing cookies. This section is included for transparency and future reference. |
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites and to display advertisements that are relevant to the individual user. We currently do not use any third-party advertising networks or retargeting tools on this website.
Should this change in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy before activating any marketing cookies and will request your explicit consent via the cookie consent banner.

5. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING COOKIE DATA
The use of cookies on our website is governed by the following legal framework:
| Legal instrument | Scope | Key requirement |
| EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended by 2009/136/EC) | All EU/EEA member states | Prior informed consent required for all non-essential cookies. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Pre-ticked boxes are not valid consent. |
| GDPR (EU) 2016/679 | All EU/EEA member states | Processing of personal data (including data collected via cookies) requires a valid legal basis. For analytics and marketing cookies, this is consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). For strictly necessary cookies, legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) applies. |
| Slovak Act No. 351/2011 Coll. on Electronic Communications | Slovak Republic | Implements the ePrivacy Directive in Slovakia. Requires prior consent for the storage of cookies or similar technologies on user devices, except where strictly necessary. |
| Austrian TKG 2021 (Telecommunications Act) | Republic of Austria | Implements the ePrivacy Directive in Austria. Strict interpretation: all non-essential cookies require prior explicit consent. Pre-ticked boxes and consent bundled with terms of service are not valid. |
6. HOW WE OBTAIN AND RECORD YOUR CONSENT
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner is displayed. This banner allows you to:
- Accept all cookies (strictly necessary, functional, analytics)
- Accept only strictly necessary cookies
- Customise your preferences by selecting individual cookie categories
Your consent is:
- Freely given — you can use the website with only strictly necessary cookies enabled
- Specific — you choose by category, not in a single blanket click
- Informed — each category is explained in plain language
- Unambiguous — consent is given by an active positive action (clicking ‘Accept’), not by a pre-ticked box or by simply continuing to browse
- Recorded — your consent choice is stored in the cookie_consent cookie for 12 months so the banner is not shown on every visit
We do not use ‘consent walls’ — refusing cookies does not prevent you from accessing the content of this website.
| Your consent is valid for 12 months from the date it was given. After 12 months, the cookie consent banner will be displayed again and we will ask for your consent afresh. |
7. WITHDRAWING OR CHANGING YOUR CONSENT
You may withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before the withdrawal.
7.1 Via our Cookie Settings
Click the ‘Cookie Settings’ link in the footer of any page on our website. The cookie preference centre will open, allowing you to enable or disable each category of non-essential cookies. Your updated preferences will take effect immediately.
7.2 Via your browser settings
You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies through your browser settings will also disable strictly necessary cookies and may prevent the website from functioning correctly.
| Browser | How to access cookie settings |
| Google Chrome | Menu (⋮) → Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies Or go to: chrome://settings/cookies |
| Mozilla Firefox | Menu (≡) → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data |
| Apple Safari | Safari menu → Settings (Preferences) → Privacy → Manage Website Data |
| Microsoft Edge | Menu (…) → Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data |
| Opera | Easy setup → Go to browser settings → Advanced → Privacy & security → Site Settings → Cookies |
| Brave | Menu → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data |
7.3 Google Analytics opt-out
To prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all websites (not only ours), you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on:
Alternatively, you can withdraw your consent to Google Analytics specifically by opening our Cookie Settings and disabling the ‘Analytics’ category.
8. DO NOT TRACK (DNT) SIGNALS
Some browsers include a ‘Do Not Track’ (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally agreed standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.
Our website does not currently alter its behaviour in response to DNT signals. However, you can achieve the equivalent effect by refusing analytics and marketing cookies via our cookie consent banner or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on described in Section 7.3.
9. COOKIES AND PERSONAL DATA
Some cookies — in particular analytics cookies set by Google Analytics — may collect data that constitutes personal data within the meaning of the GDPR (such as IP addresses, even in anonymised form). The processing of such data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
| Privacy Policy: www.comeworks.eu/en/privacy-policy For any questions about the personal data we process, contact: info@comeworks.eu |
Strictly necessary cookies collect only technical data (such as a session identifier) that is not linked to your identity and that expires at the end of your browsing session or within a short period.
10. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law or guidance from data protection authorities. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this document and at the bottom of this page.
Where changes are material — for example, if we begin using a new category of cookies — we will display a prominent notice on our website and re-request your consent where required by law.
We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
