Frankfurt 2025 — steel structure for a large-span industrial hall
The assembly of a large-span industrial hall near Frankfurt required mobilisation of a specialist steel erection team with experience in primary structural steelwork, secondary steel and roofing support systems. The structure comprised hot-rolled steel columns and rafters, cold-formed purlins and side rails, wind bracing systems and a complete mezzanine floor package — all erected from a standing start to structural completion within the agreed programme.
COME WORKS carried out the full steel erection scope as subcontractor to the general contractor. Works included checking of anchor bolt positions prior to erection, lifting of columns and rafters using a mobile crane working to a defined lift plan, installation of bracing and connections with high-strength structural bolts, and final plumb, level and line verification before handover to the cladding contractor.
Large-span steel — where programme pressure and structural precision collide
Industrial hall construction in Germany operates to tight programmes driven by tenant move-in dates or production start deadlines. A steel erection subcontractor who cannot maintain the erection sequence — or who produces a structure that fails the structural engineer’s survey — creates a cascade of delays across every following trade.
COME WORKS approaches steel erection with the same programme discipline that general contractors apply to their overall schedule. Pre-erection surveys, daily progress reporting, immediate communication of any tolerance deviation and a zero-punch-list handover philosophy are standard on every steel project we undertake. The Frankfurt hall was handed over structurally complete, plumb and level, on the agreed date.
“A hall that stands straight and true on handover day is the result of a thousand small decisions made correctly during erection. That is our job.”
